SOIL SURFACE SKY  2020-'21

SATE…LIGHT. 1998-2022

THE ART OF LIGHT

The Cluster Crafts exhibition and accompanying volume were structured around three themes: below the earth, the ground, and the sky. Below the earth explored objects made from subterranean materials such as clay and stone; the ground focused on functional design and woodwork; and the sky curated a selection of exquisite lighting pieces. Together, the three sections traced a journey from raw material to refined form to light itself.

To celebrate Euroluce, SaloneSatellite presents "SATE…LIGHT. 1998-2022 SaloneSatellite Young Designers," a special exhibition staged symbolically along the border between the two areas, marked by light projections. On display are the lamps that Marva Griffin selected as the most representative of SaloneSatellite from 1998 to 2022, pieces that, after being exhibited, went into production and became part of Italian design heritage.

"The Art of Light," Elle Decor Italia's exhibition-installation at Palazzo Bovara during Milano Design Week 2023, explored the meaning and importance of light within space. The setup was a collaborative effort between Giuliano Andrea dell'Uva Architetti and Metis Lighting, who together conceived the exhibition path, while landscape architect Antonio Perazzi shaped the greenery inside and outside the building.
