Catharsis collection
ASSEMBLY & CARE NOTES
Each Catharsis vase and bowl is composed of two calibrated elements in natural composite stone and flame-worked glass, designed to be assembled by direct placement, without permanent fixings.
The bookends are carved entirely from solid natural composite stone and do not require assembly.
Detailed assembly guidance and care instructions for each model in the collection can be downloaded below.

CONCEPT
Catharsis explores mass, rupture, and structural tension as generative principles. The forms emerge from controlled fracture, where density and irregular edges define shifting balance.
For the vases and bowl, hand-shaped stone and flame-worked glass elements are assembled without permanent fixings, relying on calibrated weight and alignment. The bookends are sculpted entirely from natural composite stone, functioning as solid, monolithic volumes.
Across the collection, tension remains visible yet resolved, allowing form to shift visually while maintaining structural clarity.
STONE COLOR VARIATIONS

Additional stone color variations are available in limited edition and upon request.
THE PROJECT
Catharsis Collection
Sculptural objects in stone and flame-worked glass
Catharsis is a collection of sculptural vessels and objects that investigate fracture through material form. Rather than smooth continuity, the pieces develop through shifts in mass and abrupt transitions that alter perception from different viewpoints.
The vases and bowl combine hand-shaped natural composite stone with flame-worked glass. These elements interlock without adhesives or concealed supports. The assembly is direct and intuitive, based on weight, proportion, and precise contact between surfaces. The glass component introduces vertical containment, while the fractured stone mass stabilizes the composition.
The bookends are carved entirely from natural composite stone. Their solidity contrasts with the articulated structures of the vessels, reinforcing the collection’s exploration of density and restraint.
The stone is developed in the studio using raw Italian mineral fragments and earth pigments, without cement, resins, or industrial binders.
Surfaces retain the marks of carving and compression, revealing texture rather than polish. Variations in edge, depth, and orientation allow each piece to shift visually as it is rotated, maintaining active tension within a resolved structure.
Catharsis does not depict destruction. It investigates material force held in equilibrium, where rupture becomes a method of construction rather than collapse.
